The Brief

Westside wanted to be able to provide a nationwide search / store locator for each of their manufacturers with a separate search page for each brand. From a master list of stores, each one a music shop or group of shops every location was tagged with the brands it sold. The resulting search had to interrogate the database based on a postcode or town search and return only those store matching the chosen brand and location based on a radius from the users location. Each store locator had to appear separately, so as not to confuse the user with multiple brands.

The Approach

Using WordPress and the X Theme framework, we built a multi-purpose store locator for each individual brand with custom fields and backgrounds to ensure each brand was represented separately. The default homepage of the site was re-directed to the brand store locator page on the Westside Distribution website, and each individual brand had its own store locator. For example, Martin, AER, Sabian and Schecter.

The Result

The store locators work well for Westside Distribution, which adds value to both their partner brands and their various retailers.
